Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned, family-owned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history that spans over fifty years. Originating from a single family-owned restaurant, the company has expanded to over 500 locations, all sharing the founding passion for connecting people to seafood and the coastal experience. As a staple in the communities it serves, Red Lobster is more than just a dining destination - it is a place where guests come to enjoy their favorite meals and create memorable moments. The company prides itself on fostering an environment where new friends become familiar faces, emphasizing community and hospitality.

At Red Lobster, the focus is on providing an inviting atmosphere for both guests and employees. With competitive wages, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling, the company supports its team members in maintaining a positive work-life balance. Employees have access to comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster also invests in its employees through training and career advancement opportunities, encouraging growth within the company.

The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is essential to the smooth operation and overall guest experience. This full-time position requires dedication to maintaining cleanliness and readiness in the restaurant while providing attentive support to guests and servers. As a Busser/Runner, you will be responsible for welcoming guests with a warm smile, setting up your station for each shift, ensuring tables are properly stocked with silverware and condiments, and refilling drinks as needed. Pre-bussing helps keep the dining area tidy and comfortable for guests, while running hot food to tables expedites service and enhances guest satisfaction.

Additional duties include clearing dishes, resetting tables, maintaining clean seats and floors, and communicating table readiness to the team. You will also assist servers with guest support and help break down items in the dish area. Adhering to all food safety and cleanliness standards is paramount, as Red Lobster prioritizes the health and safety of both its guests and staff. The physical demands of this position require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain on your feet for shifts lasting eight to twelve hours.

At Red Lobster, teamwork is fundamental. The ideal candidate for the Busser/Runner role will be detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively, and demonstrate a strong sense of cooperation with fellow employees. This position offers the chance to be part of a thriving team in a company with ambitious plans for the future. Becoming a member of the Red Lobster family means joining a welcoming and inclusive workplace committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, gender, disability, or veteran status. Now is an excellent time to advance your career with Red Lobster and contribute to an iconic brand dedicated to exceptional seafood and remarkable service.
