Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain with a rich history that started as a family-owned establishment focused on delivering a unique experience centered around seafood and coastal cuisine. With over fifty years in the industry and a network of more than 500 restaurants, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination recognized for its commitment to quality, community, and hospitality. The company prides itself on creating a warm, family-like environment not just for its guests but also for its employees. This inclusive atmosphere has helped build lasting relationships within the communities it serves, making every meal a memorable moment and every employee a valuable part of the family.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play an essential role in maintaining the smooth operation of daily restaurant activities. This position offers weekly pay, competitive salaries, and flexible work schedules, making it an attractive opportunity for candidates seeking stable employment with benefits. In addition to a competitive pay structure, employees enjoy options for medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning at minimal weekly costs, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits. Red Lobster also offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, and special discounts on meals during shifts and as guests. The company prioritizes growth and development by providing training and career advancement opportunities, helping employees enhance their skills and move forward in their restaurant careers.
The Busser/Runner is responsible for creating a welcoming dining atmosphere by greeting customers with a smile, ensuring tables are properly set with utensils and condiments, refilling beverages, and removing used dishes and glassware promptly. This role requires hands-on involvement including delivering hot food to guests, assisting servers as needed, and following all food safety and sanitation guidelines rigorously. Additionally, the Busser/Runner manages the clearing and resetting of tables, cleans seating areas and floors, communicates table availability efficiently, and organizes items in the dishwashing area. This fast-paced role demands physical stamina, as the Busser/Runner must be capable of standing for long shifts, bending, reaching, and safely lifting up to 30 pounds. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking ability are essential to succeed in this position.
Red Lobster values its employees and strives to provide a respectful, supportive workplace. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that fosters diversity and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming environment free from discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. With exciting plans for the future, Red Lobster encourages new team members to become part of its growing family and contribute to its ongoing success.
