Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Originating from a single restaurant with a mission to deliver a unique connection to seafood and coastal flavors, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination with over 500 locations. The company prides itself on creating an environment where guests can enjoy their favorite meals in settings that feel like an extension of home. Beyond being just a restaurant, Red Lobster is deeply embedded in the communities it serves, fostering friendships and welcoming experiences for every guest who walks through the door. The establishment values its employees and believes in offering career paths that nurture growth and development within the hospitality industry.
The role available at Red Lobster is for a Busser/Runner position that offers flexible scheduling and competitive wages with weekly pay. Employees enjoy a range of benefits including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than ten dollars per week, as well as life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Red Lobster also provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. This position is ideal for team players who enjoy fast-paced environments and seek opportunities for advancement within a supportive company.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, your primary responsibilities will center on delivering excellent service to guests and supporting servers to ensure smooth restaurant operations. You will greet guests warmly to create an inviting atmosphere and set up your station at the beginning of each shift, ensuring that tables are prepared with necessary silverware and condiments. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area and adhering to food safety standards are critical components of the job. You will assist by running hot food orders promptly to guests, pre-bussing tables to prepare for new diners, refilling drinks, and supporting servers as needed. Communication skills will be essential as you relay table status updates and help maintain an efficient workflow in collaboration with kitchen and serving staff. Physical endurance and the ability to multitask are necessary due to the active, on-your-feet nature of the position, often requiring standing and movement for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
Red Lobster is committed to inclusivity and provides reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their roles effectively. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic team where each member plays a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences. The company emphasizes career training and upward mobility, making this an excellent opportunity for those interested in building a career in the restaurant industry. With a bright future and expanding business plans, Red Lobster invites passionate individuals to join their family-oriented team and contribute to their ongoing success and community engagement.
