The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant by providing outstanding guest support and ensuring cleanliness and efficiency throughout the dining area. This role involves warmly welcoming guests, setting up the station for shifts, ensuring tables are fully equipped with silverware and condiments, and refilling drinks. The Busser/Runner is responsible for pre-bussing tables by clearing used dishes, cleaning seats and floors, and resetting tables promptly to prepare for new guests. Additionally, this role includes running hot food efficiently from the kitchen to the guests to preserve quality and presentation, supporting servers as needed, communicating table readiness to the team, and helping breakdown items in the dish area. Employees in this position must consistently follow food safety and cleanliness standards to uphold Red Lobster’s reputation for hygiene and guest satisfaction. This physically demanding job requires the ability to bend, reach, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain on one’s feet for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
