Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history dedicated to connecting people with the coast through exceptional dining experiences. This family-owned company has grown to include more than 500 restaurants, each embodying the founding passion of delivering quality seafood and memorable moments to guests. Beyond being a place to enjoy meals, Red Lobster emphasizes community involvement and fostering lasting relationships, turning new guests into familiar faces. The company prides itself on offering a welcoming environment where employees have opportunities to advance their careers and grow professionally.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is essential in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. This position is responsible for welcoming guests warmly, maintaining clean and orderly dining areas, assisting servers, and supporting overall restaurant operations. Busser/Runners ensure tables are properly set with silverware and condiments, refill drinks, clear dishes promptly, and communicate effectively with the team to prepare tables for new guests. This role demands attentiveness to food safety and cleanliness standards, physical stamina to handle the fast-paced restaurant environment, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Employees in this role benefit from competitive weekly pay and flexible scheduling options, making it easier to balance work and personal commitments. Red Lobster provides comprehensive benefits, including affordable medical, dental, and vision plans starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and a voluntary benefits program. After one year of service, team members become eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match. Additional perks include anniversary pay for qualifying employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
Red Lobster is committed to training and developing its team members, offering opportunities to advance within the company and build a rewarding career. The company seeks motivated individuals who are detail-oriented, able to multitask, and dedicated to creating a positive experience for guests and coworkers alike. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, move throughout the restaurant, and stand during 8 to 12-hour shifts. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
As Red Lobster looks to an exciting future, joining their team means becoming part of a supportive, dynamic family that values diversity and equal opportunity. The company embraces a culture that respects all employees and applicants without discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. For those passionate about hospitality and seafood, this role offers rewarding work in a vibrant, inclusive setting.
