Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat; it strives to create memorable dining moments where new friends become familiar faces. Known for its commitment to quality, hospitality, and community engagement, Red Lobster has become a beloved brand in the restaurant industry, setting the table for guests' favorite meals and moments.
The opportunity to join Red Lobster as a Busser/Runner offers a chance to be part of a dynamic team environment that values growth, learning, and excellent customer service. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant by ensuring cleanliness, readiness of dining areas, and providing timely guest support. The company offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate various needs, and valuable employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Additionally, Red Lobster provides life insurance, short-term disability benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service. Employees also enjoy anniversary pay based on eligibility, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as guests.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, employees will be responsible for welcoming guests warmly, setting up their stations, ensuring tables are properly equipped with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, and efficiently running hot food from the kitchen to the dining area. This role demands adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards, as well as active communication with servers and kitchen staff to maintain service flow. Additional responsibilities include clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, communicating table readiness, and assisting in breakdown tasks within the dishwashing area.
Physical ability is key for success in this position. Candidates must be able to stand and move efficiently around the restaurant during shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours, safely lift up to 30 pounds, and perform movements such as bending, reaching, and stooping. Red Lobster values team players with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The company also emphasizes inclusiveness and accessibility by offering reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a respected brand with big plans for the future. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a welcoming workplace for all, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This role offers not only a job but a pathway to career advancement and personal growth within the hospitality industry, backed by supportive management and comprehensive employee benefits.
