Red Lobster is a well-established, family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history and more than 500 locations nationwide. Known for its commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences, Red Lobster extends more than just meals to its guests; it offers a connection to seafood, coastal living, and a welcoming community atmosphere. The company values its employees and fosters a family-like environment where new employees quickly become part of a supportive team. Red Lobster takes pride in being an integral part of the communities it serves and strives to make every guest feel welcomed and valued.
This particular opportunity is for the position of Busser/Runner, a key role within the restaurant's front-of-house team. The Busser/Runner acts as the bridge between the kitchen and the guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience. This role involves a variety of tasks such as welcoming guests, maintaining cleanliness, setting up stations, and assisting servers to enhance guest satisfaction. Red Lobster emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and flexibility in scheduling, making this an excellent role for individuals seeking a dynamic work environment with growth potential.
Employees in this position benefit from competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate different lifestyles, and options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Additionally, Red Lobster offers life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year of service. Employees may also receive anniversary pay upon meeting eligibility requirements. The company further promotes employee well-being by offering discounted meals during shifts and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Career advancement opportunities are a significant part of the Red Lobster culture, with training provided to help team members grow and succeed within the organization.
The Busser/Runner position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long shifts of 8 to 12 hours, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and routinely move throughout the restaurant. Successful candidates must be team players with the ability to multitask and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure an inclusive workplace. The restaurant also maintains an equal opportunity employment policy, welcoming applicants regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a growing, future-focused company with a proven record of success and a bright outlook. For individuals passionate about hospitality, seafood, and working in a collaborative environment, the Busser/Runner role offers a fulfilling and rewarding career path. Red Lobster encourages enthusiastic applicants who are eager to contribute to delivering outstanding guest experiences and to thrive in a positive, energetic setting.
