The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is an entry-level position vital to the restaurant’s smooth and efficient operation. This role demands a friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm for guest service as it includes warm guest greetings, preparing and setting up stations for shifts, ensuring tables are well-stocked with silverware and condiments, and helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the dining area. Critical functions also include refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, running fresh, hot food to guests promptly, supporting servers, clearing dishes, and communicating table readiness status to the team. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to strict food safety and cleanliness standards. Busser/Runners are expected to be physically capable of bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds safely, and able to stand and move around during shifts lasting eight to twelve hours. Job Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement and authorized to work in the country you are applying
  • ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds safely
  • ability to move about the restaurant and remain standing for an 8 - 12 hour shift
  • team player with attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus
  • customer service skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety standards
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Welcoming every guest into our restaurant with a smile
  • setting up station for the shift
  • ensuring silverware and condiments are on the table
  • refilling drinks and pre-bussing
  • running hot food to guests when ready in alley
  • providing guest support for servers as needed
  • following all food safety and cleanliness standards
  • clearing dishes from tables, resetting table, and cleaning seats and floors
  • communicating table readiness
  • breaking down items in the dish area
