Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established family-owned restaurant chain renowned for its dedication to offering guests a unique connection to seafood and the coastal dining experience. With over fifty years of history and a family of more than 500 restaurants, Red Lobster has grown into much more than just a dining venue; it has become a vital part of the communities it serves. The company's roots trace back to a single restaurant founded on a vision to create something special by bringing the flavors of the coast to tables across the country. Today, Red Lobster proudly continues this legacy by setting the stage for memorable meals and moments where guests feel like part of the family.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a team that values community, connection, and opportunity. The company offers competitive wages with weekly pay and flexible scheduling to accommodate employees' needs. Health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans, are available starting at affordable rates. Employees also benefit from life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay (based on eligibility), discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster emphasizes career growth, providing training and opportunities for advancement within its large family of restaurants.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant. This position requires an individual who is attentive, reliable, and capable of supporting the front-of-house team by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. As a Busser/Runner, you will greet guests with a warm smile, prepare your station for each shift, ensure tables are stocked with silverware and condiments, refill drinks, and assist servers by running food orders promptly. Maintaining cleanliness by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and cleaning floor areas is also a key responsibility. Safety and hygiene are high priorities, and adherence to all food safety and cleanliness standards is mandatory.
Physical endurance and teamwork are essential for success in this role. The Busser/Runner must be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain on their feet for extended periods during an 8 to 12-hour shift. The role demands a team-oriented attitude and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Red Lobster is passionate about fostering a supportive workplace where new friends become familiar faces, and employees can enjoy both their work and community connections.
With ambitious plans for the future, Red Lobster is poised for continued growth and improvement. The company stands as an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive workspace for all employees regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a growing family that values diversity, equity, and the opportunity to provide excellent service to every guest.
