Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, rooted in a single family-owned neighborhood restaurant with a vision to connect people with seafood and the coast. Today, Red Lobster operates over 500 restaurants that serve as more than just dining spots; they are community hubs where new friends become familiar faces. The company prides itself on offering high-quality meals and a welcoming atmosphere, emphasizing its role as a place where guests can enjoy memorable moments with family and friends. Red Lobster is committed to being part of the communities it serves and believes in nurturing long-term relationships with both guests and employees.
The Busser/Runner position at Red Lobster plays an essential role in maintaining the restaurant's friendly and efficient dining environment. As part of the restaurant's team, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests, setting up your station for shifts, and ensuring tables are prepared with silverware and condiments. Your duties include refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, and running hot food from the kitchen to guests, supporting servers whenever needed. Staying on top of food safety and cleanliness standards is paramount to providing the best experience. The role also requires clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, communicating table readiness, and breaking down items in the dish area.
This position demands a team player with strong multitasking skills and attention to detail, capable of handling physical requirements such as bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds safely. You will need to be able to move around the restaurant and stay on your feet for shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Red Lobster provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
Employees at Red Lobster benefit from competitive wages with pay rates ranging from $16.90 to $25.00 per hour and receive weekly pay for their work. Flexible scheduling options allow team members to balance their work and personal lives effectively. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at under $10 a week. Additional perks include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Teams are rewarded with anniversary pay upon meeting eligibility requirements, discounted meals during shifts, a 25% discount when dining as a guest, and various opportunities for growth and career advancement. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer dedicated to creating a welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of age, race, gender, disability, or veteran status.
At Red Lobster, the future holds exciting growth and opportunities. Joining the Red Lobster family means becoming part of a supportive team that values each member's contributions and is committed to fostering a positive work environment. Whether you are starting your career or looking to grow within the restaurant industry, Red Lobster provides the training, support, and advancement possibilities that help employees succeed and thrive.
