Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain that first opened its doors over fifty years ago with a simple yet powerful vision: to offer people a genuine connection to seafood and coastal dining experiences. Over the decades, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved institution with over 500 locations, each continuing the founding passion for exceptional food and warm hospitality. This company is deeply embedded in the communities it serves, where new guests quickly become familiar friends. Every restaurant acts as a welcoming space where guests come to enjoy not only their favorite meals but also memorable moments with family and friends.

Working at Red Lobster offers more than just a paycheck — the company takes pride in creating a supportive work environment that fosters career growth and personal development. Employees benefit from competitive wages paid weekly alongside flexible scheduling that accommodates diverse lifestyles and commitments. Health coverage options including medical, dental, and vision plans are available starting at less than $10 per week, ensuring staff can protect their well-being affordably. Additional benefits like life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefit options further enhance the overall compensation package. After one year of service, employees become eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, reflecting Red Lobster’s commitment to long-term financial security for their team. Anniversary pay and discounted meals—both during shifts and while dining as guests—underscore how the company values and rewards dedication and hard work.

The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is pivotal in delivering the seamless and enjoyable dining experience the brand is known for. This position involves interacting with guests warmly and professionally, setting up the service stations before shifts, and ensuring that tables are properly equipped with silverware, condiments, and drinks. Bussers and Runners play an essential part in table maintenance, from pre-bussing and clearing dirty dishes to resetting tables for the next guests. They also assist servers by running hot food from the kitchen to guests quickly and safely, contributing to the restaurant’s high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Being a successful Busser/Runner requires physical resilience as the role demands standing and moving throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift, bending and lifting up to 30 pounds, and maintaining a team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently. Employees must meet the minimum age and work authorization requirements, and reasonable accommodations are provided to support individuals with disabilities. Red Lobster fosters an inclusive work culture that values diversity and equal employment opportunities, welcoming applicants regardless of age, race, gender, or background.

With exciting growth plans underway, joining the Red Lobster family now means becoming part of a vibrant team in a company poised for a successful future. This opportunity provides both a meaningful job experience and a path to advance one’s career in a supportive and dynamic environment dedicated to excellence in hospitality.
