Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. It all began as a single family-owned restaurant born from a vision to connect people with the unique experience of seafood and coastal dining. Today, Red Lobster has grown into a family of over 500 restaurants, each one upholding the founding passion of delivering delicious meals and creating memorable moments for guests. More than just a place to eat, Red Lobster has become an integral part of the communities it serves, providing a welcoming environment where new friends become familiar faces. The company prides itself on offering more than just great food; it delivers a warm, hospitable experience that keeps guests coming back.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and overall guest satisfaction within the restaurant. This hourly position offers competitive wages, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling options to accommodate your lifestyle. The role also comes with appealing benefits such as options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Employees can enjoy anniversary pay if they meet eligibility requirements, plus discounted meals during shifts and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
Your responsibilities as a Busser/Runner include warmly welcoming every guest with a smile, setting up your station for your shift, ensuring all silverware and condiments are appropriately placed at tables, refilling drinks and pre-bussing tables to maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere. You'll also be tasked with running hot food to guests promptly, providing support to servers, and strictly adhering to food safety and cleanliness standards. This role requires constant communication about table readiness, clearing tables, resetting seats, floors, and dish areas to facilitate efficient restaurant operations.
Success in this position depends on physical endurance and multitasking abilities – you need to be able to lift up to 30 pounds safely, stand and move about the restaurant for shifts lasting between 8 to 12 hours, and work effectively as part of a team with great attention to detail. Importantly, Red Lobster values diversity and inclusion, proudly offering equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic team with BIG plans and exciting growth opportunities ahead. This position is perfect for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the restaurant industry, with ongoing training and career advancement opportunities provided. If you are passionate about creating outstanding guest experiences in a friendly and supportive environment, Red Lobster welcomes your application. Become part of a company where your contribution is appreciated and your career can thrive.
