Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain that has been serving guests with a passion for seafood and coastal cuisine for over fifty years. Starting from a humble single family-owned establishment, Red Lobster has grown into a large network of over 500 restaurants, each deeply rooted in their community and dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences. The brand is more than just a place to eat – it is a place where new friendships form and guests feel like familiar faces. With a strong commitment to quality, hospitality, and community engagement, Red Lobster offers a warm and inviting environment both for guests and employees alike.
As a part-time Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. This position offers competitive wages with pay ranging from $11.41 to $25.00 per hour and includes weekly pay cycles. You will benefit from flexible scheduling, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking part-time work that fits their lifestyle. Additionally, there are options for medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service. You will also have access to anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
In your role, you will be the first friendly face welcoming guests into the restaurant with a smile and ensuring that their dining experience is seamless from start to finish. You will assist in setting up your station for each shift, ensuring that tables are properly equipped with silverware and condiments. You will support the wait staff by refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, and running hot food to the guests promptly when it is ready. Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to all food safety standards will be essential aspects of your duties. You will clear dishes, reset tables, clean seats and floors, communicate table readiness, and help break down items in the dish area.
This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds, remain on your feet for long shifts of 8 to 12 hours, and move efficiently around the restaurant. Being a team player with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively will contribute to your success. Red Lobster prides itself on providing reasonable accommodations to ensure that individuals with disabilities can perform the essential functions of this job.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company is committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company culture is vibrant and forward-looking, with exciting plans for growth and innovation on the horizon, making this a great time to be part of the Red Lobster family.
