Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established family-owned restaurant brand with over fifty years of history and a strong commitment to delivering a unique connection to seafood and coastal dining experiences. Rooted in a single family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a network of over 500 restaurants where every seat represents a dedication to passion, quality, and community. The company fosters a welcoming environment for both guests and employees, emphasizing the importance of community and the creation of memorable moments in its dining locations. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat and work; it is a place where new friends become familiar faces, reflecting its close ties to the communities it serves.

Red Lobster is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their team as Bussers/Runners. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant by ensuring the dining environment is clean, organized, and welcoming to guests. Employees in this position will be involved in various front-of-house duties, assisting servers and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and efficient service. Employment is offered with competitive wages and weekly pay, along with flexible scheduling to accommodate employees’ needs. Medical, dental, and vision insurance options are available starting at less than $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. The company also offers a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Additionally, Red Lobster invests in career development by providing training and advancement opportunities, supporting employees to grow within the company.

The Busser/Runner role involves a variety of responsibilities including welcoming guests with a positive attitude, setting up workstations for shifts, ensuring tables are stocked with necessary silverware and condiments, and refilling drinks. Bussers/Runners assist in running hot food to guests promptly and provide support to servers as needed. Maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards is a priority, including clearing and resetting tables and cleaning seating areas and floors. Effective communication regarding table readiness and dish area breakdown is essential for seamless service. The physical demands of the role require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain on your feet for 8 to 12-hour shifts, making physical stamina and teamwork vital for success. Red Lobster values inclusivity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a welcoming workplace for everyone regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. Joining the Red Lobster family means being part of a bright future and a company with big plans on the horizon, making it an excellent opportunity for those interested in the hospitality and dining industry.
