Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant company known for its dedication to providing exceptional seafood experiences and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both its guests and employees. With more than fifty years of history, Red Lobster has grown from a family-owned establishment into a thriving chain of over 500 restaurants. At the core of its operation lies a passion for connecting people with the coast and the fresh seafood it offers. Each restaurant serves as an extension of this founding vision, creating a space for favorite meals and special moments that bring people together. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat and work; it is a vital part of the communities it serves, where new friends become familiar faces.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is a dynamic and vital position within the restaurant team. This part-time opportunity is perfect for individuals seeking flexible schedules along with competitive weekly pay. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Additionally, employees can access life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Red Lobster also rewards employees with anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
As a Busser/Runner, successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring a positive dining experience for every guest by maintaining cleanliness, assisting waitstaff, and supporting the flow of service throughout the restaurant. Core responsibilities include welcoming customers warmly, preparing the station for service, replenishing drinks, clearing used plates and glassware, and delivering food orders promptly. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and hygiene standards are critical in this fast-paced environment. The company also emphasizes growth opportunities through training and career advancement, making this role ideal for individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry.
Red Lobster is committed to equal opportunity employment and fosters an inclusive workplace for all individuals regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Aspiring team members located in the United States should be at least the minimum legal working age and authorized to work in the country. This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift weights up to 30 pounds safely, and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and teamwork.
This role offers a unique entry point into the restaurant industry with the support and resources of a well-established company. Candidates who value friendly work environments, flexible shifts, and a chance to be part of a community-centered restaurant brand will find working at Red Lobster rewarding. Join a team committed to excellence, growth, and delivering memorable dining experiences to every guest.
