Originating from a single family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown to operate over 500 locations, each maintaining the founding vision of creating a special connection to seafood and the coast. Known for its quality meals and welcoming atmosphere, Red Lobster is more than just a dining destination; it cultivates a community where new friends become familiar faces. The brand takes pride in being an integral part of the local communities it serves and strives to provide memorable dining experiences for all guests.
As a globally recognized name in the casual dining industry, Red Lobster emphasizes guest satisfaction through warm hospitality, fresh seafood, and a vibrant restaurant environment. Its commitment to employee growth and training reflects the company’s dedication not only to delivering excellent service but also to developing careers within the hospitality sector. The company offers competitive wages, weekly pay, flexible scheduling options, and comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Additionally, employees benefit from life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Other perks include anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. With these advantages, Red Lobster fosters a supportive work environment ideal for personal and professional growth.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster presents a dynamic opportunity for individuals passionate about guest service in a fast-paced restaurant setting. This part-time position is pivotal in maintaining a high-quality dining experience by supporting servers and ensuring the restaurant environment remains clean, organized, and inviting. The Busser/Runner acts as the foundation of the service team, greeting guests with a friendly smile, setting up their stations for each shift, and ensuring all essentials like silverware and condiments are ready at the tables. The role also requires pre-bussing tables, refilling drinks, running hot food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, and assisting servers whenever needed. Complying with all food safety and cleanliness standards is critical to this position, which extends to clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seating areas and floors, and communicating when tables are ready for new guests. Lastly, breaking down items in the dish area is part of the daily responsibilities, highlighting the team-oriented and multitasking nature of this role.
Physically, this job demands individuals who can bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain on their feet for an entire 8 to 12-hour shift. It requires a team player with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Red Lobster supports employees by providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role. As part of the Red Lobster family, this role offers great career potential with ongoing training and advancement opportunities. The company culture is inclusive and diverse, embracing equal opportunity employment without discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This role is ideal for those seeking a part-time position with flexible hours, excellent team collaboration, and a rewarding work environment dedicated to great food and memorable guest experiences.
