Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant brand that has been delighting guests for over fifty years. From its inception, Red Lobster has aimed to offer more than just meals; it provides a meaningful connection to seafood and coastal traditions. With over 500 restaurant locations, the company continues to be a pivotal part of the communities it serves, where every seat is more than just a place to dine — it’s a place where new friends are made, and familiar faces gather. Red Lobster is proud to set the table for favorite meals and memorable moments, combining top-quality food with a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service.
The company values its employees by offering competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles, and an array of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also enjoy life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service. Red Lobster appreciates loyalty through anniversary pay and offers discounted shift meals plus a 25% discount when dining as a guest. The brand believes strongly in career growth and development, providing training and opportunities for advancement within the company.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is crucial to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests. Individuals in this position are the first to welcome guests with a warm smile and remain attentive throughout their visit. The Busser/Runner helps maintain the restaurant’s high standards by setting up stations before shifts, ensuring tables are properly stocked with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers through tasks such as refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, and running hot food out to guests promptly. This role demands a keen attention to food safety and cleanliness standards, as well as excellent communication skills to coordinate with restaurateurs and kitchen staff.
Busser/Runners also play an integral part in the post-dining process, clearing dishes, resetting tables efficiently, and keeping seats and floors clean to prepare for incoming guests. The position requires physical endurance as it involves standing for extended shifts of 8 to 12 hours, the ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift items up to 30 pounds safely. Teamwork, multi-tasking abilities, and attention to detail are essential traits needed to succeed in this fast-paced environment.
Red Lobster is committed to inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, providing a welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company fosters an environment where individuals can thrive and contribute to a positive work culture alongside a strong team dedicated to delivering excellent guest experiences.
With exciting plans for growth and enhancement of its team and restaurants, there has never been a better time to join the Red Lobster family. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding job with flexible benefits, competitive pay, and a supportive community within a well-established brand that values its people and their contributions.
