Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established and beloved family-owned seafood restaurant chain that has been delighting guests with fresh, flavorful seafood and coastal-inspired dishes for over fifty years. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it is a community hub where guests can enjoy favorite meals, create lasting memories, and experience a warm, welcoming atmosphere. With a network of over 500 restaurants, Red Lobster is known for its commitment to quality, hospitality, and the genuine passion behind every dish served. The company values its employees as a critical part of this mission and fosters a supportive, dynamic workplace that offers opportunities for growth and advancement.

The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is essential in maintaining the exceptional dining experience guests expect. This position involves a combination of guest service, cleaning, support for servers, and ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently throughout each shift. Bussers/Runners welcome guests with a friendly smile, prepare and maintain their station, and assist in the seamless delivery of food and beverages. Responsibilities include setting tables with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables to speed up service, and running hot food to guests in a timely manner. The position also requires clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, and effectively communicating table readiness to the team.

This role demands physical stamina and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bussers/Runners must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds safely while standing and moving throughout the restaurant for shifts that typically last between 8 and 12 hours. Teamwork, attention to detail, and a guest-focused attitude are essential to succeed and contribute positively to the overall guest experience.

Working at Red Lobster offers a variety of appealing benefits designed to support employees' well-being and career growth. The company offers competitive wages with weekly pay and flexible scheduling options, allowing staff to balance work and personal commitments. Medical, dental, and vision insurance options start at less than $10 per week, complemented by life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits for added security. Employees are encouraged to plan for their futures through a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Importantly, Red Lobster invests in its team through training and career development opportunities, creating pathways for advancement within the company.

Red Lobster is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. The company proudly operates as an equal opportunity employer and strives to provide a welcoming environment for all employees and applicants regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This commitment is a core part of the Red Lobster family culture, ensuring that every team member feels respected and valued.

For those who enjoy a vibrant, fast-paced work environment and want to be part of a company where they can grow and make a difference, the Busser/Runner position at Red Lobster represents an exciting opportunity. With big plans for the future and an established reputation for excellence, joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences and building connections within the communities served.
