Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established family-owned seafood restaurant chain that has been delighting guests for over fifty years. Starting from a single location with a vision to offer people a meaningful connection to seafood and the coastal experience, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved restaurant family with over 500 locations. The company takes pride in being more than just a place to dine; it is integral to the communities it serves, where new faces quickly turn into familiar friends. The atmosphere at Red Lobster embraces both classic and contemporary seafood dining, making it a preferred destination for guests seeking memorable meals and moments.

Working at Red Lobster means joining a team committed to quality, hospitality, and community engagement. The company values inclusivity and equal opportunity, ensuring all employees and applicants receive fair treatment regardless of age, race, religion, gender identity, or veteran status. With a focus on continuous growth and improvement, Red Lobster offers its employees robust career opportunities backed by comprehensive training programs. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment where their contributions are recognized and rewarded, emphasizing teamwork, respect, and attention to detail.

The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is critical in maintaining a seamless dining experience for guests. This position is customer-facing and involves a range of responsibilities to support the front-of-house team, ensuring that guests enjoy prompt and attentive service. The Busser/Runner is often the first friendly face guests encounter and plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and readiness of dining areas. This role requires physical stamina to manage active shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours, involving tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

In this position, weekly pay and competitive wages are provided, along with flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance. Employees can access affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than $10 per week, supplemented by life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, there is a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, in addition to anniversary pay rewards for eligible employees. Staff members also enjoy discounts on shift meals and a 25% discount when dining as guests.

This role is ideal for individuals who are energetic, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively. Busser/Runners help set up stations for their shifts, ensure tables are always properly stocked with silverware and condiments, assist servers by refilling drinks and pre-bussing tables, and promptly deliver hot food from the kitchen to guests. They uphold all food safety and cleanliness standards while contributing to an overall smooth guest experience by clearing and resetting tables and maintaining clean dining spaces. Their ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests directly influences the restaurant's hospitality standards.

Red Lobster's commitment to inclusive hiring practices extends to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to enable their success in this role. The company is deeply invested in its future growth and invites individuals passionate about customer service and seafood dining to become part of its family. Joining Red Lobster as a Busser/Runner is an opportunity to grow a rewarding career with a respected brand that values personal and professional development.
