Job Description

Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group is a thriving culinary enterprise that originated from a small neighborhood restaurant in New Orleans' Mid-City area and has since expanded to manage over 20 restaurants across the Southeast, with continued growth on the horizon. The group operates two beloved brands, Ruby Slipper and Ruby Sunshine, both of which celebrate the vibrant spirit and soulful flavors of New Orleans through their unique all-day brunch concepts. Known for delivering an authentic dining experience that combines the rich traditions of Southern cuisine with warm hospitality, Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group has made a significant impact in the regional dining scene and continues to attract guests who value quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, innovation, and community, Ruby Slipper has become an employer of choice for individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic and growing company.

The role within Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group as a Ruby Krewe Member is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, yet approachable brunch setting. This position primarily focuses on maintaining a clean, efficient, and hospitable environment by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables throughout the restaurant. The Ruby Krewe is a vital part of the team that ensures guests' dining experiences are smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Your workday revolves around the concept of making the most of your time by serving breakfast and lunch only, allowing you to earn a steady income while still having your evenings free. Ruby Krewe Members do not need previous restaurant experience to apply, making this a perfect entry point for motivated individuals seeking a supportive environment to develop valuable service industry skills.

A typical day as a Ruby Krewe Member involves removing used tableware between courses, promptly clearing tables after guests leave, cleaning and resetting tables quickly to prepare for the next party, and assisting with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining space and restrooms. The role requires attentiveness and a keen eye for detail as you will also be responsible for taking soiled tableware to the dish room, sorting and stacking items appropriately. Additionally, you support the overall guest experience by providing drink refills and ensuring restrooms are inspected and cleaned regularly. Beyond these core responsibilities, the position offers the chance to engage with a vibrant team culture that values fun, respect, and professionalism, where a shared belief that "butter and bacon make everything better" captures the light-hearted spirit of the workplace.

As a Ruby Slipper Krewe Member, you gain more than just a job; you enter a community that promotes growth, learning, and work-life balance. Employees are offered flexible day shifts, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, paid time off for personal and family needs, as well as opportunities for career advancement and pay increases. This role is ideal for those seeking meaningful, flexible work in a reputable company that celebrates Southern charm and cuisine. Join Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group to be a part of a dedicated, passionate team where your efforts contribute directly to unforgettable dining experiences for guests and a positive workplace environment for colleagues.
