Job Requirements
- A current food handlers card for the Municipality of Anchorage
- ability to do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way
- requires interaction with people as relates to attending to needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people, immediate response is required
- requires lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware
- great customer service skills and be courteous with the guest and staff
- ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests
- work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy
- perform the duties of the position in a safe manner
- be professional in all interactions with guests and associates
- patience, tact and diplomacy
Job Duties
- Quickly clear dirty table wipe it with moist towel or rag for resetting
- promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed
- read meal tickets and deliver food appropriately to tables based on meal ticket
- maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments
- serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
- transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
