Job Requirements

  • A current food handlers card for the Municipality of Anchorage
  • ability to do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way
  • requires interaction with people as relates to attending to needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people, immediate response is required
  • requires lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware
  • great customer service skills and be courteous with the guest and staff
  • ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests
  • work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy
  • perform the duties of the position in a safe manner
  • be professional in all interactions with guests and associates
  • patience, tact and diplomacy

Job Duties

  • Quickly clear dirty table wipe it with moist towel or rag for resetting
  • promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed
  • read meal tickets and deliver food appropriately to tables based on meal ticket
  • maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments
  • serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
  • transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
