As a full-time seasonal busser/food runner at the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, you will be an essential member of the food and beverage team. Your primary responsibility involves supporting servers and restaurant staff by ensuring dining areas are clean, well-stocked, and efficiently managed. By quickly clearing tables, resetting service ware, assisting with meal delivery, and attending to guests' needs, you will help maintain a smooth flow of service that contributes to a memorable dining experience. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong teamwork, and excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment that can range from relaxed to busy.

Job Requirements

  • A current food handlers card for the Municipality of Anchorage
  • ability to do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way
  • requires interaction with people as relates to attending to needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people
  • immediate response is required
  • patience, tact and diplomacy
  • requires lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service-ware
  • great customer service skills and be courteous with guest and staff
  • ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests
  • work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy
  • be professional in all interactions with guests and associates

Job Duties

  • Quickly clear dirty table wipe it with moist towel or rag for resetting
  • promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed
  • read meal tickets and deliver food appropriately to tables based on meal ticket
  • maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments
  • serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
  • transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
