As a brewery that combines high-quality beer with thoughtfully crafted food, Crooked Hammock Brewery places a strong emphasis on genuine and memorable hospitality. The Raleigh location, set to open in the spring, aims to build on the brand's reputation by offering a lively, high-energy environment where guests can enjoy not only premium beverages but also a vibrant social experience. The brewery prides itself on fostering a team culture centered on respect, collaboration, and shared passion for quality service and guest satisfaction.

The role of Utility (Food Runner/Busser) within Crooked Hammock Brewery is a pivotal position that ensures the smooth operation of front-of-house activities. This role offers exciting earning potential, with a base pay of $7.25 per hour plus an additional tip share, which typically results in hourly earnings ranging from $18 to $25. This compensation reflects the valued position of utility team members who contribute directly to the guest experience by maintaining cleanliness, efficiency, and timely support to the serving staff. Utility team members are essential to creating a positive atmosphere where guests feel cared for and well-served.

Food Runners/Bussers in this utility role are responsible for clearing and resetting tables swiftly and professionally as guests depart. They play a supportive role in food running, helping servers with refills, and restocking satellite stations, ensuring that the restaurant floor remains fully prepared to welcome new patrons. The position demands strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to hospitality, including maintaining restrooms, responding promptly to guest requests, and assisting during busy periods. Utility team members are expected to be flexible in their scheduling, responsive to the needs of the restaurant, and dedicated to providing high-level customer service.

In addition to operational duties, the role embodies the spirit of Crooked Hammock Brewery’s brand and culture. Team members are encouraged to be brand ambassadors, making decisions that reflect the best interests of the restaurant and contributing to a positive workplace environment. The brewery also emphasizes professional growth, offering opportunities for salaried management roles, leadership development, and career advancement. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy teamwork, and want to be part of an innovative hospitality brand that values its people and its guests.
