The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive, energetic environment where team members can thrive and guests feel welcomed and valued. Yard House embraces diversity, teamwork, and a passion for great food and drink, making it a sought-after place to work within the hospitality industry.
The Busser/Barback position at Yard House is essential to the smooth operation of the restaurant, supporting the servers and bartenders by maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing dining and bar area. This role involves critical behind-the-scenes work that ensures a seamless guest experience, from clearing and sanitizing tables and bar surfaces to restocking glassware, plateware, and bar supplies. Busser/Barbacks play a key role in keeping the flow of service fast and efficient, particularly during peak hours. They assist the bartenders by cleaning and sanitizing barware, managing inventory like changing out kegs to keep tap beers fresh, and ensuring the bar area is always well stocked. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment and want to be an integral part of a dynamic hospitality team.
The role is paid at $16.90 per hour plus tips, reflecting the company’s commitment to offering competitive compensation. Yard House’s workplace culture centers around their core house rules: "Bring The Vibe," which means creating an energetic, lively atmosphere; "Be ALL IN," encouraging team members to fully engage with the food, beer, and guest experiences; "Have Heart," emphasizing kindness and team camaraderie; and "Celebrate Variety," promoting diversity and inclusion throughout the workplace.
This full-time or part-time position offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments, making it ideal for students, hospitality professionals, or anyone looking to join a thriving restaurant team. Opportunities for career advancement and personal growth are also available, with pathways to progress within the company’s dynamic operations. Benefits include sick pay, health and wellness programs, and other perks that enhance the employee experience. Overall, the Busser/Barback role at Yard House is a tremendous gateway for those passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a vibrant team environment where every shift is about delivering exceptional service and having fun while doing it.
