We are currently seeking dedicated and hardworking Buspersons to join The SERG Restaurant Group team. This role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of our dining areas and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. Buspersons play a vital role in supporting the restaurant’s front-of-house operations by efficiently cleaning and resetting tables, assisting servers, managing tableware, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. The Busperson will work closely with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure timely table turnover and exceptional guest experiences.

The Busperson is responsible for removing used tableware between courses, promptly cleaning table tops, chairs, booths, and floors, and assisting in setting tables with clean linens, condiments, and supplies. They also handle the scraping, stacking, and transport of dirty dishes to the kitchen for cleaning, and help maintain adequate stock of tableware and linens. Additionally, they support servers by serving bread, water, and butter upon guest arrival and refilling beverages as needed. The role requires proactive communication with other staff to expedite seating and table utilization efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and carrying tasks
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • reliable transportation to and from work
  • ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
  • clear tables after guests, wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths
  • promptly clean table tops, chairs, booths, and the floor under and around tables between guests
  • set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies
  • scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
  • take soiled tableware to the designated area, and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, and glassware for cleaning
  • carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply areas to serving counters
