The role of the Busser is crucial in fostering a smooth and efficient guest experience. As a Busser, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area, supporting servers and front-of-house staff, and ensuring that guests feel welcomed and comfortable throughout their visit. This position involves clearing tables promptly, resetting them meticulously with clean utensils, glassware, napkins, and condiments, and collaborating with the team during peak service times. Additionally, you will assist with food and beverage delivery, replenish supplies, and support the kitchen staff by facilitating the movement of dishes and maintaining cleanliness in back-of-house areas. The Busser must adhere to health and safety guidelines, practice excellent personal hygiene, and wear the appropriate uniform.

This role is well-suited for individuals who thrive in high-energy settings, possess strong communication skills, and exhibit a keen eye for detail and organization. Physical stamina is necessary as the position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25-30 pounds, and moving actively throughout shifts. While prior restaurant experience and formal education such as a high school diploma are advantageous, they are not strictly required. Job Duties

  • Clear dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables promptly and efficiently
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables for new guests, including placing clean utensils, glassware, napkins, and condiments
  • Sweep and mop floors as necessary to ensure the dining area remains clean throughout the shift
  • Remove trash and dirty linens from the dining area and dispose of them properly
  • Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to guests' tables in a timely and efficient manner
  • Refill water, beverages, and condiments as needed during service
  • Assist with food running, ensuring orders are served promptly and accurately
  • Greet guests and assist with seating if needed
  • Respond to guest requests and inform servers or management of any specific needs
  • Assist kitchen staff with transferring dishes, glassware, or utensils between dining and kitchen areas
  • Stock supplies such as napkins, silverware, glassware, and condiments in the dining area
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure cleanliness and food safety
  • Work cooperatively with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down the dining room during opening and closing hours
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests and colleagues
