Job Description

The Turning Point is a renowned award-winning restaurant specializing exclusively in daytime service, focusing on breakfast, brunch, and lunch. With over 30 corporate locations spanning New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and Florida, and continual expansion underway, this vibrant establishment has cultivated a strong presence in the regional dining industry. The Turning Point also includes franchised locations, which provide additional opportunities for training and support roles, creating a dynamic environment for professional growth within the company. Known for its commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and valuing each team member, The Turning Point is celebrated for its respectful and supportive workplace culture, making it an ideal place for enthusiastic individuals looking to build a career in the restaurant sector.

The position being offered is for a key front-of-house team member who plays an essential role in delivering a superior dining experience during daytime hours. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, assisting servers, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction. Employees in this role benefit from a daytime-only schedule, avoiding late-night shifts, with the restaurant closing daily at 3 pm. This schedule allows for a balanced lifestyle with opportunities for family time and personal pursuits outside of work.

Candidates selected for this role will perform various responsibilities, including wiping tables and seats, setting tables, replenishing condiments and supplies, managing dirty dishes, and assisting servers by running food and responding promptly to guest requests. The job requires a proactive and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to contributing positively to the guest experience. While prior restaurant experience is a plus, it is not a mandatory requirement, as training and support are provided.

The role also offers multiple benefits such as employee discounts, flexible scheduling, and free uniforms. Additionally, employees receive all tips daily as direct cash payments, enhancing the earning potential beyond the hourly wage of $5.62. The position provides opportunities to pick up shifts at various locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, with possibilities for transfer if relocating. Discounted meals are available for employees and their families, reflecting the company’s commitment to staff welfare and satisfaction. The Turning Point prides itself on promoting from within, with more than 65 percent of managers having advanced through the company's ranks. This opens significant career growth opportunities for dedicated and hardworking individuals.

In summary, the job at The Turning Point represents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding career in the restaurant industry with a reputable and rapidly growing company. Employees enjoy daytime-only shifts, competitive compensation including tips, a supportive work environment, and the potential for career advancement. If you are an enthusiastic, dependable team player who takes pride in excellent customer service and meeting guest needs, this is the place for you to grow and thrive.
