Job Description

Carneros Resort and Spa is a luxury resort located in the heart of Napa Valley, known for its serene ambiance, exceptional guest services, and exquisite dining experiences. The resort features beautifully appointed rooms and suites, a world-class spa, and multiple dining venues, including Boon Fly Café, which offers a casual yet refined menu that highlights locally sourced ingredients and classic comfort foods. The resort prides itself on delivering personalized service and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality to ensure an unforgettable stay for every guest.

The role of Server Assistant at Boon Fly Café is a vital position that supports the front-of-house team to enhance guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. As a Server Assistant, you will play an essential part in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, helping servers by clearing tables, setting up for new guests, and ensuring the café runs smoothly, especially during busy service hours. This full-time, non-exempt position reports directly to the Café Manager and offers competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and a 401k plan with employer match.

In this role, attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional customer service are paramount. You will be expected to manage table maintenance by promptly removing used plates, glassware, cutlery, and napkins, wiping up spills and stains, and replenishing table settings and condiments. Additionally, you may assist by bringing out meal orders during peak times to ensure guests receive timely service. The position also involves handling closing duties, such as cleaning the dining area thoroughly at the end of the day.

Working at Carneros Resort and Spa as a Server Assistant offers the opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to luxury hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrates a proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving. Previous experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry is advantageous but not required, as a strong willingness to learn and commitment to upholding the resort's high standards are highly valued.

Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary to meet the demands of the hospitality industry at a busy resort location. Candidates must also have the physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move comfortably around the resort's expansive property. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding career in hospitality where providing exceptional guest service is the central focus of their work.
