Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized hospitality company renowned for its commitment to exceptional service and memorable guest experiences. As one of the most prestigious hotel chains worldwide, Marriott operates a wide range of properties, including luxury hotels, resorts, and business hotels, offering hospitality careers that nurture personal and professional growth. Marriott's culture emphasizes diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all associates, positioning it as an employer of choice in the hospitality industry. The company is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and innovative work environment for its employees and guests alike, making a career at Marriott one that is both rewarding and impactful.

The position of Guest Service Support Expert at Marriott Hotels, including the JW Marriott luxury portfolio, is integral to delivering the brand promise of "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." This role revolves around supporting the food and beverage operations, where the goal is not merely to provide food and drinks, but to craft an experience that guests will remember and cherish. This entails assisting with setting tables, helping the kitchen staff, cleaning workstations, replenishing supplies, and ensuring that each transaction flows smoothly and feels seamless within the overall guest experience.

Guest Service Support Experts are vital players behind the scenes, ensuring the restaurant and food service operations function efficiently and with great quality. On any given day, associates in this role will be physically active – standing, sitting, or moving for extended periods, sometimes working on uneven or slippery surfaces. They will handle various tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 25 pounds unassisted (and up to 50 pounds with help), reaching overhead or below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The role demands a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to meet high standards consistently.

The position requires adherence to company policies and procedures, a commitment to workplace safety, and a professional appearance and communication style. While no prior related work experience is mandatory, previous experience in a food and beverage environment is preferred. The role does not require supervisory responsibilities, allowing new entrants to develop foundational skills within an established hospitality environment. Marriott prioritizes equal employment opportunities, celebrating diverse backgrounds and experiences that enrich its workforce.

Working in the Marriott environment, especially at JW Marriott, means being part of a luxury brand that values confidence, innovation, and genuine care. Associates are part of a community that promotes camaraderie, continuous training, development opportunities, and a balanced focus on well-being. Marriott strives to take care of its associates just as much as it takes care of its guests, ensuring every team member has the opportunity to thrive and grow their careers in hospitality. Join Marriott Hotels and become part of a global team where you can bring your best, find your purpose, and belong within a legacy of excellence and service.
