Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • teamwork and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • No previous restaurant experience required
  • have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
  • be able to work in standing position for long periods (up to 10 hours)

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
  • promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring bread, butter and water to table
  • remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
  • clear tables after guests
  • take soiled tableware to dishroom and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware in designated areas
  • promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seatings
  • inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate with server as needed
  • communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating and customer service
  • assist server with food delivery especially during peak periods
  • thank guests as they leave
  • fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
  • clean tables, doors, floors, windows, vents, lights to maintain cleanliness
  • provide a genuinely hospitable experience
