Job Requirements
- Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- High school or equivalent education required
- Food Service Handler Card valid for at least 6 months
- Preferred 1-2 years experience in full-service restaurant or lounge
- Must enjoy being around and working with people
- Comply with all safety and health department procedures and laws
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Adhere to hotel policies including attendance, safety, and behavior
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours
- Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Bend, squat, and stretch in limited space
- Work in environments with varying temperatures, smoke, light, sound, and occasional outdoor conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education required
- Food Service Handler Card that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
- Preferred 1-2 years experience in a full-service restaurant or lounge
- Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships
- Ability to break down barriers and resolve conflicts swiftly
- Ability to anticipate needs and exceed expectations
- Think on their feet and use initiative to solve problems
- Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and able to inspire and motivate others
- Leadership ability consistent with Virgin Hotels Core Values
Job Duties
- Ensure that items are fully stocked and equipment is in good working condition
- Strong knowledge and consistent use of SNHD regulations and standards
- Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
- Consistently maintains clean and safe work area for self and other team members
- Participate in seamless operation between BOH and FOH staff members ensuring proper service to our guests
- Perform to high standards of excellence, execution, and cleanliness
- Always keep your active SNHD Food Handler's card with you while on property
- Execute proper health and safety protocols while operating equipment, handling food, storing food, maintaining temperature and time control logs, and sanitizing as dictated by the SNHD
- Report health and safety incidents and concerns directly to leadership in an accurate and timely manner
- Contribute to successful SNHD health inspections
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness of all place settings, tabletops, seats, and floor
- Perform guest service duties as assigned such as beverage and plate service
- Communicate with cashier and servers for needs and any guest service issues
- Actively participate in all scheduled required training sessions
