Job Description

The Bohemian Grove is a distinguished and historic retreat situated on 2,700 acres of majestic redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California. For over 150 years, this exclusive club has been a sanctuary where members and their guests immerse themselves in a rich cultural experience featuring arts, music, literature, and drama amid the serene beauty of the natural landscape. The Grove is renowned not only for its artistic and social contributions but also as a unique environment that blends fine dining with the splendor of nature. This summer, the Bohemian Grove offers an exceptional opportunity for those who wish to work in a unique and breathtaking environment, surrounded by towering redwoods and peaceful surroundings. With flexible schedules and competitive hourly wages, the summer positions allow team members to contribute to an extraordinary tradition while enjoying the outdoors throughout their employment.

The role available is that of a Restaurant Busser, a critical position within the dining circle at the Grove. As a busser, you will be an integral part of the dining experience, ensuring the cleanliness and proper setup of dining areas to provide outstanding service to the membership. The position demands attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include setting up dining stations, bussing tables, assisting servers with resetting tables and serving guests, as well as maintaining overall cleanliness of the work area. Serving at the Bohemian Grove is more than a job—it's an opportunity to be a part of a tradition that celebrates culture, community, and natural beauty. The position requires a commitment for the summer season, with specific engagement during special event periods such as Spring Jinks from June 8 through June 14, 2026, and the Summer Encampment running from July 6 through July 31, 2026. This role offers those who thrive in the hospitality industry a chance to gain valuable experience while working in one of the most exquisite forest environments in California. The Grove welcomes applicants who are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to join a dedicated team in providing exceptional service to the membership. Applicants will enjoy a supportive work environment, opportunities to develop skills in hospitality and customer service, and the satisfaction of working in an unparalleled natural setting.
