The role of Outlet Busperson at Highgate Hotels is hourly compensated and positioned within an esteemed hospitality environment. The Outlet Busperson serves as a pivotal support member in the dining services team, primarily assisting servers to deliver outstanding experiences to guests. This role demands maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation throughout shift hours while ensuring dining areas and tables are impeccably stocked and presented. Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables with clean linens, china, glassware, and silverware consistent with the property’s standards. Employees in this position must display attentiveness, friendliness, helpfulness, and courtesy not only to guests but also to management and colleagues. The Outlet Busperson supports the dining room by replenishing beverages such as coffee, tea, soda, lemonade, and water, keeping beverages at least three-quarters full, and aiding in prompt service such as pre-bussing tables, answering telephones, and covering during server absences as needed. Completing opening and closing side-work checklists and maintaining a professional, service-oriented demeanor are essential for success in this job.

Job Duties

  • assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving guest requests
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout shift hours
  • keep work areas clean and properly stocked according to meal periods
  • keep all tables cleaned and properly set with clean china, glassware, silverware, and linen
  • break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in dishroom according to standards
  • complete daily opening and closing duties as per side-work checklist
  • answer phone attentively and courteously, assist fellow employees as needed, provide guest service in server's absence, maintain beverage levels at least three-quarters full, ensure overall guest satisfaction
