The role of Busser at XRG involves playing a critical part in maintaining the flow of the restaurant by efficiently clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables. Busser team members support food servers by assisting with guest table service to maximize table turns and contribute to an overall seamless dining experience. This full-time or part-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $16.90 per hour plus tips, reflecting the value XRG places on dedication and skill. Those hired will be expected to manage a variety of responsibilities, including maintaining cleanliness and stock in assigned areas, promptly addressing guest concerns, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. The position demands physical stamina such as the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work comfortably in environments exposed to varying noise and temperature conditions in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting. Flexibility to work different shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • 18+ years of age
  • possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
  • minimum of one (1) years related experience
  • proper lifting techniques
  • guest relations
  • sanitation and safety
  • full service restaurant operations
  • ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public

Job Duties

  • Clear and reset tables efficiently after, during and after service periods to turn tables
  • maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers and proper table set ups
  • maintain cleanliness and stock of their assigned areas and side stations
  • work as a team, assisting all guests’ and team members’ needs and inquiries
  • ensure that all necessary stock is being replenished during the shift
  • respond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessary
  • clean and dry spills immediately upon occurrence
  • never leaving spills unattended
  • move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipment
  • ensure that any breakage is reported and recorded
  • maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
  • complete opening/running/closing side work duties as assigned
  • assist teammates with opening/running/closing side work duties upon request
  • assists and/or completes additional tasks as assigned
