The Jalapeno Tree has built a loyal customer base by focusing on exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a fun, energetic dining ambiance. The team, affectionately known as the Pepper Posse, is dedicated to upholding the restaurant's reputation for high standards in food quality and customer service. This dedication extends to every member of the staff, including bussers who play a vital role in supporting the dining experience by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
The role of a busser at Jalapeno Tree is an essential position that contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the restaurant. As a busser, you are tasked with supporting servers by setting and clearing tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring that guests always have a clean and inviting space to enjoy their meals. This position requires an energetic and motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bussers are also responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed, and replenishing necessary supplies to keep the service area well-stocked. Clear communication with the front-of-house team is crucial to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience for every guest.
In addition to these duties, bussers at Jalapeno Tree assist with opening and closing tasks such as trash disposal and organizing dining supplies, contributing to the daily setup and breakdown of the restaurant's operations. Knowledge of safety procedures, including the ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals and material safety data sheets (MSDS), is important to maintain a safe working environment. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for prolonged periods, move quickly, bend, twist, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is also a key requirement, as bussers must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the restaurant’s busiest times.
Jalapeno Tree offers a competitive hourly wage and includes employees in a tip pool, providing additional financial rewards based on restaurant performance.
