Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Busser to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the serving staff and ensuring the dining area remains clean, organized, and ready for incoming guests. The Busser will be responsible for clearing and resetting tables, assisting with food delivery during busy periods, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the service area, including the restrooms. Ideal candidates will be comfortable standing for long periods, able to lift moderate weight, and possess good communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and team members. No previous restaurant experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality. Job Requirements

  • No previous restaurant experience required
  • have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • be able to lift at least 40 lbs, reach, bend and stoop
  • be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • availability to work flexible shifts
  • provide reliable transportation
  • pass background check if required

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
  • remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
  • clear tables after guests leave and during service between courses
  • take soiled tableware to dishroom and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas
  • promptly clean tabletop, chairs and booths between seatings
  • check and clean floor as required
  • reset and arrange tabletop
  • inspect restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate guest requests to server as needed
  • communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
  • assist server as needed with food delivery, especially during large parties and peak periods
  • thank guests as they leave
  • be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by manager
