This philosophy is encapsulated in their slogan of treating people "Just Right," fostering a positive work environment where employees, affectionately called "Outbackers," are valued, trained, and developed for success. Out West Restaurant Group is recognized as a leader in the franchise sector, having received multiple awards including the Monitor 200 Award for being ranked among the Top 50 Franchisees in the U.S. for four consecutive years, and the International Franchise Association's 2022 Franchisee of the Year award for outstanding community service. The company also actively contributes to non-profit organizations supporting restaurant employees and their families, such as California Care and CORE.

This hourly, non-exempt position offers a competitive wage starting at $16.90 per hour plus tips, emphasizing that team members can not only earn well but also grow their careers in a supportive and fun environment. Joining the Outback family means becoming part of a hospitable culture that recognizes hard work, leadership, and dedication, where opportunities for advancement and personal development are abundant. The role focuses on teamwork and consistent delivery of AUS-SOME service to every guest, from the moment they enter until their departure. Employees engage in various tasks including bussing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the restaurant, answering phones, upselling menu items, and supporting different areas of the restaurant as necessary. This dynamic role demands a commitment to quality service, safety, and sanitation, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.

Training programs like the Shift Leader program further support employees’ growth, encouraging development in leadership and operational skills. Compliance with California employment regulations, including safe beverage service certification, wage and hour standards, and equal pay laws, underscores the organization's dedication to fair and lawful employment practices.
