Job Description
Market Broiler is a well-established restaurant brand that began in Riverside, California, in 1989. Known for its dedication to quality seafood and exceptional service, Market Broiler has earned the prestigious Best for Seafood crown for over thirty years. The restaurant also holds the distinction of being voted the best restaurant in Riverside by readers of the Riverside Press-Enterprise. Over the years, Market Broiler has expanded, opening six additional locations across California, each designed to cater to different neighborhood vibes and customer experiences—from casual and cozy to lively and entertainment-focused environments.
The Market Broiler brand is deeply rooted in a tradition of excellence and customer satisfaction, offering a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere where patrons can enjoy fresh seafood and other delightful menu options. Each location boasts its unique charm, with the Fremont and Huntington Beach establishments offering a relaxed neighborhood feel, while other locations such as Orange, Ontario, Simi Valley, and Torrance provide bustling, high-traffic environments that add an energetic vibe to the dining experience.
We are seeking to expand our team by hiring a Bus Person to work primarily in the dining area of our restaurants. This role is perfect for individuals looking to join a respected restaurant brand and develop their career in the hospitality industry. Importantly, this position requires no previous experience, making it an excellent opportunity for those new to the workforce or looking for their first job in the food service industry.
The Bus Person plays a critical role in ensuring the dining area runs smoothly by assisting waitstaff and attending to diners. They help maintain cleanliness and readiness of tables, contributing to the overall customer experience. This role involves tasks such as clearing tables of used items, wiping spills, resetting tables for new guests, replenishing condiments, and sometimes assisting with serving meals when the waitstaff are occupied. At the end of the day, the Bus Person also helps with cleaning duties to prepare the restaurant for the next operating day.
Market Broiler offers competitive pay, with rates ranging from $15.50 to $16.80 per hour depending on the location, plus tips. Employees receive comprehensive on-the-job training, and tips are distributed for every shift worked. The company values its team members and provides paid time off, medical benefits for full-time employees, meal discounts, and an employee referral program. Moreover, Market Broiler is committed to career development, providing growth opportunities and flexible scheduling for both full-time and part-time positions.
Joining Market Broiler means becoming part of a supportive and dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences in California's vibrant restaurant scene. Those interested in the Bus Person position can expect a welcoming, energetic workplace with opportunities for learning and advancement in this long-standing and respected restaurant brand.
