Founded in 1969, the company has grown to become a beloved gathering place where guests can enjoy generous servings of traditional comfort food, shop for unique gifts and home goods, and experience warm, friendly hospitality. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on creating a welcoming environment that feels like home to both guests and employees alike. The company emphasizes not only great food and memorable experiences but also fostering a culture of belonging where team members can grow, develop, and thrive together. This national presence and dedication to hospitality have positioned Cracker Barrel as a cherished part of many communities across the United States.
The Busser role at Cracker Barrel is a vital position within the dining room team, responsible for ensuring that every guest's experience begins with a clean, comfortable table that sets the tone for exceptional hospitality. Bussers do more than clear tables—they reset the stage for new memories by maintaining an organized and efficient dining environment. Working closely with servers and hosts, bussers keep the dining room flowing smoothly, enhancing the overall guest experience. This entry-level position requires a team-first mindset, a sharp eye for what needs to be done, and a proactive attitude toward helping others. No prior restaurant experience is necessary as comprehensive training is provided, making this role an excellent entry point for those interested in hospitality and food service.
Cracker Barrel values each employee’s contributions and offers competitive weekly pay with same day pay access. Health insurance eligibility begins from day one for both full-time and part-time employees, along with vacation time and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The company supports personal and professional growth through its PAR training program, 401k plans with company matching after just 90 days, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program. Employees enjoy a culture of belonging reinforced by onboarding, training, recognition programs, and social events that build camaraderie. Additional perks include a significant discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail items, as well as exclusive benefits on travel, cell phones, and more.
Working as a Busser at Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a team that takes pride in doing meaningful work together. This role is perfect for individuals who spot what needs doing and jump in, move with purpose, and enjoy contributing to a positive guest experience. The position offers not just a job but a community where you can develop skills and find opportunities for advancement in a supportive, inclusive environment. If you are ready to join a company that values both its guests and its employees, Cracker Barrel invites you to apply and be part of good company where every day is an opportunity to make the moment for someone else.
