Job Description
First Watch is a leading daytime dining restaurant chain renowned for serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch using the freshest ingredients available. With over 630 locations across 32 states, First Watch has established itself as a premier destination for those seeking quality meals and exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment. The company prides itself on its "Follow the Sun" culinary philosophy, which ensures that the chef-driven menu rotates several times annually to serve the highest-quality flavors at their peak. This dedication to fresh, seasonal ingredients has made First Watch a celebrated name in the restaurant industry, garnering numerous awards such as "Best Breakfast" and "Best Brunch" and being voted the #1 Best Breakfast by Newsweek's Readers' Choice Awards 2025. Beyond its culinary excellence, First Watch also champions a strong commitment to community support by donating a portion of proceeds from every kid's meal served to impactful organizations. So far, it has raised approximately $2 million for these causes.
First Watch also stands out with its progressive employee culture known as the "YOU FIRST" philosophy. This approach underscores the company's commitment to its employees, affirming that their happiness and well-being are the top priorities. The work environment is designed to empower employees with decision-making independence to deliver an exceptional dining experience to customers without ever requiring night shifts. Alongside a chef-curated menu that excites food lovers, employees are supported with numerous benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage, access to telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings programs, and more. This culture has earned First Watch the title of #1 Most Loved Workplace in America by the Best Practice Institute for consecutive years (2022 through 2025), a distinction featured in The Wall Street Journal.
The role of a First Watch Busser is both dynamic and critical to the seamless operation of the restaurant. Bussers are the unsung heroes who maintain the flow of tables by efficiently clearing, sanitizing, and resetting them within 3 minutes to ensure a pleasant and timely dining experience for guests. Acting as silent communicators, Bussers coordinate with Hosts and Servers to signal table readiness, enabling smooth seating and service transitions. The position demands excellent teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy dining environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with light housekeeping duties, rolling silverware, and ensuring restroom cleanliness. This role is essential for maintaining the overall cleanliness and atmosphere that customers appreciate at First Watch.
If you are a motivated individual who thrives on teamwork, values cleanliness and efficiency, and enjoys contributing to a welcoming dining environment, this Busser position at First Watch offers an opportunity to grow and be part of an award-winning organization. First Watch is committed to providing a positive work environment with no night shifts, a supportive management culture, and extensive employee benefits designed to support your health, well-being, and professional development. Joining First Watch means becoming part of a community focused on quality food, exceptional service, and putting people first.
