Job Requirements

Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment preferred
excellent attention to detail
must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
must possess a team spirited attitude and a willingness to help
ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests
ability to retain and give general hotel information
must possess a strong team spirit
must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
will stand for long periods of time
proper lifting techniques required
ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
ability to move throughout the hotel for extended periods
manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud environment
ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds
ability to work under variable temperature conditions and multi-task

Job Duties

Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to table
remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
clear tables after guests and place tableware in appropriate areas for washing
promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating
respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate requests to server as needed
assist server with food delivery during peak periods and large parties
