Job Description

Cracker Barrel is an iconic American restaurant and retail chain established in 1969 that has built a cherished reputation for providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere paired with delicious Southern-inspired cuisine and unique country store shopping experiences. With over 70,000 team members spread across locations nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on being much more than just a place to eat. It serves as a community hub where people can enjoy tasty meals, reconnect with family and friends, and feel right at home. The company values authenticity, hospitality, and a team-first culture that emphasizes respect, pride, and a shared commitment to quality service and memorable guest experiences. Cracker Barrel’s mission extends beyond serving food to creating moments that matter for every guest who walks through the door.

The Busser position at Cracker Barrel plays a vital role in ensuring that every dining experience starts off right. As a Busser, you are the first to set the tone for hospitality by preparing and maintaining clean, comfortable tables that welcome guests warmly. This role involves much more than simply clearing dishes—it requires attentiveness, teamwork, and organization to keep the dining room running smoothly. Working closely with servers and other dining room staff, the Busser helps facilitate a seamless flow of service, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in an inviting and efficient environment. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy being active, like helping others, and thrive in a team setting.

No prior restaurant experience is required because Cracker Barrel provides thorough training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. This position offers competitive weekly pay alongside same-day pay options, making it a dependable job with immediate financial benefits. Additionally, full and part-time employees become eligible for health insurance coverage starting on day one, which is a significant advantage. Vacation time, an employee assistance program, and other supportive resources also contribute to the overall employee experience.

Career growth and personal development are actively encouraged, with access to Cracker Barrel’s industry-leading PAR training program beginning from the first day on the job. Employees can also benefit from a 401k plan with company matching contributions after 90 days, as well as an Employee Stock Purchase Program that allows team members to invest in the company’s future. Cracker Barrel fosters a culture of belonging by providing comprehensive onboarding, ongoing training, recognition initiatives, and employee events that create a connected, inclusive workforce.

Beyond the essential benefits, staff members receive exclusive discounts on Cracker Barrel’s delicious food offerings and retail products, along with unique perks such as savings on home services, travel, cell phones, and more. This comprehensive package of benefits and the supportive, friendly work environment make a Busser position at Cracker Barrel an excellent opportunity to join an established, respected company where your contributions truly matter. Join Cracker Barrel’s team and become part of a place where good work is recognized, teamwork is celebrated, and you can take pride in the service you provide every day.
