Job Description
Out West Restaurant Group is the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse in the United States, renowned for its Australian-themed casual dining restaurants. Since the debut of Outback Steakhouse in March 1988, the brand has become synonymous with quality food and a fun, welcoming dining atmosphere. Out West Restaurant Group embraces these values and takes tremendous pride in cultivating a culture that respects and supports both its customers and employees, affectionately called "Outbackers." The company believes in a "Just Right" approach that values mutual respect and camaraderie, fostering enthusiasm and dedication across all levels of the organization. Beyond serving delectable food and beverages, Out West Restaurant Group is deeply committed to positively impacting the lives of the Outbackers and guests alike by providing a workplace of fairness, opportunity, and personal growth. Recognized as one of the Top 50 Franchisees in the U.S. for four consecutive years and honored with the International Franchise Association’s Franchisee of the Year Award in 2022, Out West Restaurant Group not only excels in business but also in community service. The company actively supports nonprofits such as California Care and CORE, which provide essential aid to restaurant employees and their families during difficult times. Equal opportunity employment is a core value, and the company strictly adheres to federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status. Employees are treated with fairness, respect, and are encouraged to grow within the company through various training and leadership programs.
The role offered is a dynamic hourly, non-exempt position with an hourly wage of $16.90 plus tips, ideal for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As an Outbacker team member, the individual will play a key role in delivering an "AUS-SOME" dining experience by supporting various restaurant operations including bussing, cleaning, table resetting, and maintaining overall cleanliness and service in public areas. The position demands teamwork and a commitment to food safety, sanitation, and hospitality. The role offers plenty of future advancement opportunities, including participation in the Shift Leader program which includes extensive on-the-job training. Other benefits such as flexible schedules, meal discounts, comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and company-sponsored Employee Assistance Programs add value to this exciting career opportunity. Employees enjoy a hospitable culture that acknowledges hard work, perseverance, and leadership dedication. Additional perks include a closed schedule on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, allowing employees time to spend with family and friends. The company provides reasonable accommodations in compliance with applicable laws and is committed to pay equality and California wage and hour laws. Individuals seeking a rewarding position in the restaurant industry with strong growth potential and a supportive work environment will find this role with Out West Restaurant Group a perfect fit.
