Job Description
Cracker Barrel is a renowned restaurant and retail chain with a rich history dating back to 1969. It has grown to be a beloved destination for guests seeking not only delicious food but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. With a footprint of over 70,000 team members across the United States, Cracker Barrel stands out by celebrating its roots and fostering a culture of inclusivity and community. The company prides itself on serving up more than just meals by creating memorable experiences for its guests through genuine hospitality and a friendly environment. At its core, Cracker Barrel is committed to providing an environment where employees and guests alike feel valued, respected, and part of a family.
The role of Busser at Cracker Barrel is integral in ensuring that every guest's dining experience is seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. The Busser plays a vital role by maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting dining space that sets the tone for hospitality. Rather than just clearing tables, Busers are resetters of the stage, preparing the dining room for new moments and memories to be made. Working closely with the dining room team, the Busser helps the restaurant run smoothly by anticipating needs, jumping in where help is needed, and ensuring that all dining areas are organized and well-maintained. This position embodies a team-first mindset and a commitment to helping others, making every moment count for guests and coworkers alike.
Cracker Barrel welcomes individuals with no prior restaurant experience since comprehensive training is provided through the industry-leading PAR training program starting from day one. This approach underscores the company's dedication to employee growth and development. The employment type includes both full-time and part-time roles, offering a flexible workplace environment with competitive pay and the option for same-day pay access. The company emphasizes support that extends beyond work hours by providing health insurance eligibility from day one for all employees, vacation time, and an employee assistance program to support the overall well-being of its team members.
Additionally, Cracker Barrel provides various benefits designed to help employees grow and thrive in their careers and personal lives. These include a 401k plan with company matching contributions after 90 days and participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Program. The culture at Cracker Barrel promotes a sense of belonging through structured onboarding, ongoing training, recognition programs, and employee events that foster camaraderie and workplace satisfaction. Employees also enjoy exclusive discounts on Cracker Barrel food and retail products as well as additional perks related to home, travel, and phone services.
Joining the Cracker Barrel team means becoming part of a company that values its people, celebrates its rich heritage, and continually strives to provide the best hospitality experience. The Busser position offers individuals the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to this vibrant culture while developing new skills and enjoying a supportive and rewarding work environment.
