Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a well-established restaurant and retail chain known for its unique blend of delicious Southern cuisine, country store ambiance, and warm hospitality. Since its founding in 1969, Cracker Barrel has grown to become a beloved national brand with more than 70,000 team members nationwide. The company places a strong emphasis on community and creating memorable experiences for its guests. It is a place where people come together to enjoy hearty meals and discover unexpected treasures in their retail stores. Cracker Barrel prides itself on not just serving food but fostering connections and making every dining experience special. The culture at Cracker Barrel is built around respect, teamwork, and a genuine care for employees and guests alike, creating an environment where everyone feels like they belong.

The role of a Busser at Cracker Barrel is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position focuses on ensuring that tables are clean, comfortable, and prepared to welcome guests promptly. The Busser works closely with the dining room team to maintain a smooth operation, enabling waitstaff to serve guests efficiently. Beyond simply clearing dishes, the Busser plays a vital part in setting the tone for hospitality by resetting the dining area for new guests. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy contributing to a team effort, are attentive to details, and take pride in making environments better for others. Importantly, no prior restaurant experience is necessary, as Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training through its industry-leading PAR training program.

Employees in this role benefit from a competitive pay structure with weekly payments and same-day pay access, making financial management easier. Health insurance eligibility starts immediately for both full-time and part-time workers, along with vacation time and access to an employee assistance program, underscoring the company's commitment to employee well-being. The position also offers growth and development opportunities, including a 401k plan with company matching and an Employee Stock Purchase Program, allowing team members to plan financially for their futures. Additional perks include discounts on food, retail items, and various services such as home, travel, and cell phone plans through Cracker Barrel's exclusive Biscuit Perks program. The company cultivates a welcoming culture that celebrates employee contributions through recognition programs and regular events designed to bring people together.

Cracker Barrel is committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all qualified applicants are considered regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, national origin, age, marital status, medical condition, disability, or any other protected status by law. Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a family that values teamwork, customer service excellence, and career growth in a supportive environment. Whether you are just starting out or looking for a new opportunity, the Busser position provides an excellent entry point into the dynamic hospitality industry with a company that truly cares about its people and their success. We invite you to apply and find your place where you can make a difference every day because at Cracker Barrel, we are all in good company.
