Job Description
Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and retail chain known for its unique blend of Southern country-style cuisine and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Since its founding in 1969, Cracker Barrel has become a beloved destination for families and individuals seeking comfort food, nostalgic ambiance, and a friendly, community-focused dining experience. With over 70,000 team members across its locations nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it is a place to gather, reconnect, and feel at home. The company has established a reputation for serving abundant portions of delicious food in an environment that feels both familiar and inviting. Alongside its restaurant services, Cracker Barrel operates a retail store offering unique and unexpected finds that complement its country charm and enhance the guest experience. This distinctive combination of dining and retail creates numerous employment opportunities within a culture that values teamwork, customer service, and personal development.
Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a supportive, inclusive corporate family that invests in its employees' growth and well-being from day one. The position of Busser is crucial in maintaining the warm hospitality that guests expect, as it involves far more than just clearing tables. Bussers set the tone for every dining experience by ensuring that tables are clean, comfortable, and ready to welcome guests promptly. Working alongside servers and other dining room team members, Bussers contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant and help craft memorable moments for customers. The role suits individuals who are proactive, organized, and willing to work with a team-first mindset. Importantly, no previous restaurant experience is necessary for the Busser role at Cracker Barrel, as the company offers comprehensive training and ongoing development programs, including the industry-leading PAR training program that supports career advancement. Employees in this role benefit from competitive wages, weekly pay, and access to same-day pay if needed.
Cracker Barrel also emphasizes care for its employees outside of their job tasks. Benefits such as health insurance are available from the first day of employment for both full-and part-time workers. The company provides vacation time, employee assistance programs, and a 401k plan with generous company matching available after 90 days of service. Employees can also participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Program and enjoy discounts on food, retail items, and a variety of other perks ranging from travel to cell phone savings. Cracker Barrel fosters a culture of belonging by offering onboarding, regular training, recognition programs, and team events designed to build camaraderie and reinforce a shared sense of purpose. If you are someone who enjoys making a difference through everyday actions and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this Busser role is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with a genuine commitment to its people and customers.
