Job Description

Old Chicago is a well-established full-service restaurant concept that has been proudly serving craft beer, pizza, and American food since 1976. With over 100 locations nationally, Old Chicago has developed a reputation for delivering high-quality beers, handcrafted pizzas, and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Their commitment to quality extends beyond their food and beverages to the experience they provide each guest. The restaurant atmosphere combines great food and drinks with a social and inviting environment, making it a go-to destination for families, friends, and beer enthusiasts alike.

At Old Chicago, the belief is that craft beer is more than just a trend — it’s a way of life. Over the last four decades, the company has continued to innovate and expand their beer selection, drawing from impressive local and international breweries. Guests enjoy made-from-scratch pizzas and taproom fare prepared fresh with quality ingredients. Old Chicago values every team member as a vital ingredient to their ongoing success, and they are currently looking to hire Bussers / Server Assistants to join their team immediately.

The role of a Busser or Server Assistant at Old Chicago is integral to the restaurant’s operations and the overall guest experience. The primary responsibility is to support the front-of-house team by ensuring tables are timely cleared, cleaned, and reset for incoming guests. Busser team members help maintain the dining room and surrounding areas in a clean and inviting state—including lobbies, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Additionally, they assist servers by helping to deliver food and beverages, creating a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for patrons.

This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with a highly competitive rate of pay. Old Chicago is committed to providing a comprehensive benefits program to eligible team members, which includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with additional voluntary benefits. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate those in school or managing family commitments. Employees are supported through advancement opportunities and can enjoy team member discounts. This role is ideal for individuals who are at least 16 years old and can demonstrate flexibility across multiple shifts.

Joining Old Chicago means becoming part of a dynamic, friendly, and team-oriented environment where every member’s contribution matters. The company prides itself on offering growth opportunities within the restaurant industry, making it a fantastic stepping stone for careers in hospitality. As a member of the SPB Hospitality team, you will contribute to ongoing success by delivering efficient, friendly, and genuine hospitality in a casual dining setting. Old Chicago is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer, welcoming diverse talents to its growing team. This job description is designed to reflect key responsibilities but is not exhaustive, with team members potentially asked to assist in additional areas to meet the evolving needs of the restaurant.
