The role of Outlet Busperson is offered on an hourly employment basis at one of Highgate’s distinguished properties, the Kimpton Miralina Resort in Arizona. This resort is renowned for an authentic desert experience, offering expansive grounds of 40 lush acres and 50,000 square feet of versatile event space. Guests enjoy amenities such as five pools, a full-service salon and day spa, championship golf nearby, and architecture inspired by Spanish Mission style. The Outlet Busperson is a vital member of the resort’s food and beverage team, responsible for supporting servers by ensuring tables are clean, organized, and properly set with fresh china, glassware, silverware, and linens throughout service periods.

This role demands exceptional attention to detail and guest service skills to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and service quality. Responsibilities include efficiently clearing and resetting tables, assisting in refilling beverages, cleaning and stocking work areas, and occasionally providing direct service to guests. The Outlet Busperson also completes necessary opening and closing duties, handles guest requests promptly, and supports fellow employees to ensure smooth operations during all meal periods. This position requires physical stamina and flexibility, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees
  • Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked according to the current meal period
  • Keep all tables cleaned and properly set according to property specific standards
  • Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dishroom area according to established standards
  • Assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests
  • Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist
  • Answer the phone in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner
  • Assist fellow employees as needed throughout the shift
  • Provide service to guests in waiter’s absence as needed
  • Maintain beverage levels in glasses/cups on table at least 3/4 full at all times
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
