Job Description
Cracker Barrel, founded in 1969, is a well-established company known across the United States for its unique blend of delicious food, warm hospitality, and distinctive retail offerings. With more than 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on being much more than just a restaurant; it is a place where guests can gather, reconnect, and feel at home. The company embodies traditional Southern charm and comfort while fostering a culture of belonging and teamwork. As a leader in the casual dining industry, Cracker Barrel places a strong emphasis on quality service, genuine connections, and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through its doors.
This open and welcoming environment is not only designed for customers but extends to its employees as well. Cracker Barrel prioritizes employee well-being and growth by offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for development from day one. The company is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and has the support needed to thrive. Whether you are starting your career or seeking a place to grow professionally, Cracker Barrel provides a solid foundation and a supportive community.
The role of Busser at Cracker Barrel is an essential part of the dining experience. Unlike typical restaurant roles, being a Busser here means contributing to the overall atmosphere and smooth functioning of the dining room. You don't just clear tables — you set the stage for new memories by maintaining cleanliness, comfort, and readiness for every guest. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy being proactive, organized, and work well in a team-oriented environment.
As a Busser, you will be the first point of contact in ensuring every table is an inviting space. Your efforts help create a seamless transition from one guest to the next, supporting the servers and kitchen staff in delivering exceptional service. Cracker Barrel welcomes individuals with no prior restaurant experience and offers comprehensive training through its industry-leading PAR training program. This means you’ll gain valuable skills, become part of a community that values your contribution, and have ample opportunity to advance your career within the company.
This is a full and part-time position with competitive pay, including weekly payments and access to same day pay. Employees are eligible for health insurance from day one, and the company provides vacation time, an employee assistance program, and numerous discounts on Cracker Barrel food, retail items, and exclusive perks. Additional benefits include a 401k plan with company matching after 90 days and an employee stock purchase program. Cracker Barrel fosters a culture that celebrates employees through recognition programs and team events, making it more than just a job — it's a place where you can belong, grow, and succeed.
