We are currently looking for friendly individuals to join our bussing team at Metro Diner. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and overall guest experience throughout the diner. Bussers at Metro Diner act as ambassadors of hospitality, treating guests as if they were in their own home and ensuring that each area of the diner reflects that care in cleanliness and order. The job involves constant movement throughout the dining room and patio, thorough cleaning of tables, chairs, and floors, and vigilant attention to sanitization, especially in the bathrooms where restocking of paper goods is also required. This position demands honesty, integrity, composure, and strong organizational skills to manage bus tubs without disturbing guests or damaging dishes, as well as the ability to maintain a clean dish area by properly stacking plates and glassware.

The Metro Diner bussing team works collaboratively with hosts, servers, and managers to maintain a smooth and efficient dining operation. Communication is key, often utilizing headsets to coordinate dining room turns and ensure timely cleaning and resetting of tables. Experienced bussers will find opportunities to assist servers by pre-bussing tables and monitoring cleaning supplies to keep the restaurant running seamlessly throughout service. Commitment to cleanliness extends beyond the diner itself, with attention given to keeping outside areas free of debris as well.
